Monday’s With Morrie – He’s Back!

Posted by Mike in Golf Tips For Beginners, Morrie

For those of you following Morrie, we missed last week due to schedule conflicts, and this past week Morrie was under the weather…but he’s back and moving forward. Morrie is finding out interesting things with his golf swing as his body improves.

I hope you enjoy it and by all means, comment below to either show your support and just “chime in”.

Morrie’s range of motion has improved dramatically. His swing is in better control and his contact is more solid.

Welcome back Morrie, Thank Mike for these easy but very effective exercises. I recently come out of a shoulder operation ( Jan) and i did not realise how much movement i had lost. Thanks once again mate.

Since I have been doing these stretches I have shot 84, 81 and 81. I find it much easier to control my swing so I am not swinging “so hard.” However, my shots are longer and straighter.

I liked hearing that after a static stretch- which you don’t advise too often while playing, that you should shake it to get the feeing back. Although I had heard that it is not a good idea to do static stretches on playing daysI hadn’t heard what do to if you do.

It is good to see how much help Morrie is getting from you. Both of you should keep up the good work.

I really appreciate you showing this working with a real person that has some physical limitations and some stiffness. It shows the rest of us that we can improve and not really have to spend hours in the gym everyday.

Hey Mike,
Great stretches and exercises. After watching your first day with Maurie I bought your workout package, used it less than 2 weeks and won the longest drive award at my club fall tournament. Most of the participants were at least 15 years younger than me.
I easily added over 25 yards to my average drive.
I now use your stretches/workout every day.
Thanks
Dan

I like it a lot! One problem, Morrie is a straight hitter from the git-go; most of us have big problems with slices and occasional hooks . . . does the stretching address this?

Morrie seems eager to get better and I enjoy your simple (yet effective) approach to improving anyone`s overall game.
