What a cool idea for a video series. I can’t wait to see how Morrie does. I think his goals are very attainable and it will be awesome to see him get there.

I am 71, had a heart attack at 69 and can relate to the problems Morrie has stated. Although I can dirve the ball 250 yds it is not consistent (neither is my iron play) and when Morrie said his game goes from bad to worse after a bad shot that is where I really relate.

Mike, I really appreciate your efforts in putting on the series that is to follow in the following weeks.

Mike, excellent discussion with Morrie. I’m looking forward to his progress. Living in Southern Ontario (Canada) our season is now winding down and I’m looking to keep in shape in the off season so I will be digging out your golf exercise book. Keep up the great work.

It will be interesting to see just how much M improves by simply doing a few stretches before a round and maybe some short workouts when he is not playing. Mike has always been a proponent of flexibility and not just hitting a few balls at the range prior to play. If M gets his drive average to 20% or better than his current 150 yards, I will be putting Mike’s DVD back in my player and seriously pushing “Play”!

I can certainly relate to losing interest in rounds where the wheels start falling off.

Your golf improvement will be an inspiration!

Mike:

Now we (over 60, out of shape, hackers, wanta be PLAYERS) have a chance to breath some light into our personal lifes. The one thing about all of us Morrie is that we are so far gone that often times we can’t see daylight.

This will be extremely inspirational for all of us. We are ALL pulling for you Morrie. Got up this morning early and went for a 15 minute walk. I am ready to turn over a new leaf.

I have been considering buy your training system for one year and this morning I purchased the entire training package-I am all in.

I strongly believe that Morrie can improve his game with some stretching and pre game preparation. Morrie brought up the knee replacements a few times, it is possible that his knees prevent him from improving his game.

Hi Mike,
I really enjoy the tips from your mails coming through and I also really look forward to seeing how things will go with Morrie. I am from Stellenbosch, South Africa and just started your execise program from your e-book. Will let you know on the progress! We are playing club champs early in November and would like to see some improvement on that side.

I can mention that after trying the set-up routine I am hitting the fairways more consistent and were able to hit 80 to 90% drives down the middle. The warm-up before the game interests me greatly as I tend to loose couple of strokes over first couple of holes nda then needs to play catch-up for the rest of the game.

Until next week – now the Morrie story will be part of my Tuesday routine as we will be sleeping while you are doing your thing.

Thanks!!

Mike; What a wonderful series. I hope you will continue to post each session. I am forwarding this to several of our (senior) golf league guys. I have several of your fitness e-books and although I am not religious in doing the exercises, I do attempt a few of your basic stretches prior to playing and they have helped. Loved your recent suggestions on helping us to stand straighter as I have a pronounced upper back hump from years of poor posture and desk sitting. I already feel some improvement with the door jamb exercise. Some day I’ll drive up to Cave Creek to say hello in person. (I’m in Chandler).

The exciting thing is that the older golfers can see the BIGGEST improvement based on their initial starting points. I want them to realize there is hope with a targeted approach. And of course a little effort and consistency helps

Hi Mike,
Morrie shows that it’s never too late to take on a strategy to increase the enjoyment of your game.
What many people forget is what Morrie pointed out, golf is our release. We are here to have fun and enjoy the day. If we play poorly we can effect other people playing with us or back at home.
Morrie seems to have a great attitude and I know he will meet his goals in 10 weeks.

I’m 66 years old and have a left knee replacement that has hindered post impact and finish. I look forward to see what tips and drills you give Morrie to help his swing gain some power. Having knee replacements does restrict your lower body movement. Hoping this problem will be addressed.

Mike ,
I am sure we will see great improvements with Morrie. I am using your stretching for longer drives technique right now and can see a difference from the start of the game already. I usually take 2 or 3 holes to get comfortable but now I stretch pre round and it helps tremendously from the get go.

from Italy Many compliments for the great idea Mike, and a great good luck to morris, but I’m sure that he’ll success! I strongly believe in what Mike say to all of us into his kindly email.

I really love this game and I fully recognized me into the average golfer that mike write, one that have tried every thing to improve his game without success, unfortunately I must stay without golf for 5 long year due big problem (not health) and now I just came back from May, I look around and found this new concepts of how improve and I begun to use it when I can and I feel better, I must do something more about exercise but free time is my problem…

ok stop to write I write too much in my poor language, apologize me for that, I’ll really enjoy to see how this series will go! well done!

last 2 cent, I think that integrate something about mental game, will help a lot in our search of beeter golf!

Ciao Demetrio

shape & I play consistently in low 90′s just about bogey golf. I am looking to get to next
level low 80′s make more par’s and eliminate db’s.

I like your mirror idea, I also have all toy’s of Morrie. Medicus hinge driver, mommetum iron & and onther one I use in basement during winter in East as we are approaching end of golf season here.

Hi Mike;
I can relate to Morrie. I’m 71 with a now 36 handicap and still not up to snuff from a operation which had me stop my workouts. Have your E -book and all the required equipment and was really making significant gains in the early part of the year. As I am in Ontario Canada I have maybe three or five more weeks to golf, but will train for the spring.
Go for it Morrie!
P.S – Read all your e-mails MIke and this part of your service is great.

Hello Mike,

I have spent the last 20mins or so watching the Video and reading all the comments posted. I also would like to endorse this great concept of yours, and agree that if this can help us oldies to improve only a little , it will give us encouragement to take up your exercise plans. I did subscribe to your fit for golf about 2 years ago and followed it avidly for some time. I purchased a set of dumbells and an exercise ball which i fell of a few times, but couldn’t find the stretchy ropes you recommended.

Sadly to say i now only do some basic stretching when i remember, or just before a round of golf, and when this does help, i know that i could do a lot more and am hopeing that this series rekindles my commitment. Mike i play all the year through in the U.K. ( South Wales ) I only play one round a week with my son, as I am a bit reluctant to join in the handicap tournaments because of my inconsistency. I play of 25 but normally shot from about 97 to 107 but would love to get to shooting about 90.

I am 63 Mike and there are many guys older than me at our course ( Swansea Bay ) and it is quite sad to see the way some of them really struggle with their swings and it does look to me a lack of flexibility. The Pro at our club says my turn is adequate for a decent game, but he always seems to add (FOR YOUR AGE) . I really would like to get the flexibillty to drop this comment and i hope this series of yours can put me and all us Senior guys back on track , and as we all know Mike this will lead to much more enjoyment in our golf.

Sorry to be so long winded with this posting Mike, but just 2 more things. One, I don’t have many issues with the walk of the 18 holes, ( the golf is another story ) but after the drive home, getting out of the car and into a hot bath i have the feeling i have just argued with an 18 wheeler and am stiff for a few ours ( in places i don’t like being stiff ) and finally Mike I think you should emigrate to the U.K. and give us Brits a chance to have a personal one on one with you ( but wouldn’t we all like that ?? ) Come on guys lets fight this age thing together. Regards Mike….. U.K
