In the past I have focused on good nutrition to stay healthy, but now I feel like my body is just plain falling apart. I will need to spend much more time maintaining flexibility and overall strength in order to keep my game sound.

Tyron,

I can tell you right now it's all between your ears my friend  I do a 1 hour cardio at 4:00am EVERY morning and I don't even have to cause I work for myself, and I can tell you EVERY morning I don't EVER want to do it but I DO IT ANYWAYS just like the above post says. If you want to be world class at anything you need to make sacrifices. If that sacrifice is getting up just one hour earlier, you gotta do it dude!

Staying commited is a mindset. Stay laser-focused on your END GOAL and you won't let the short-term temptations get to you. Set the alarm and GET UP! That's all I can say really. If you are serious enough about your goals, you'll find a way. All successful people always find a way.

I definitely agree with everything that was said in this discussion....But I have a problem with this concept for myself because I have trouble waking up early to go do cardio and workout at like 5 am(which is what I need to be doing because I'm trying to become a world class player), and this is all because it seems like I'm a different person that early, I have basically no motivation in the morning and things seem almost impossible for me and sometimes I even question my golf career and whether I even want to play golf that day or even do anything...... yet later on in the day when I'm wide awake, my passion for golf is just burning and all I can think about is becoming the best player I can possibly be, and all I can do is just say to myself, WOW if I could only somehow make myself do what I should be doing at that earlier time, I'd be so much better at golf. so for me it's weird because I know I have that motivation and desire to be great, but I only have it at a certain time of the day, (afternoon and evening) if anyone could offer me any suggestions on how to overcome this I would really appreciate it because I really think it would change my life and my chances of getting on tour if I could simply just fix this problem. I've been thinking maybe there is some kind of supplement I need to take when I go to sleep or wake up in order to get my day off to a solid start like I need to be, because I know I get enough sleep and eat healthy, but I'm just really unsure of the situation....any helpful advice is greatly appreciated.

That's the way to "win the game!" Everybody needs to find "their way" to beat their self talk and achieve their goals. When you master this self talk, I'm telling you the sky is the LIMIT! Anything's possible! It's a powerful concept, but deceivingly easy. Keep on keep'in on!!!

Amen to that, I can't tell you how convincing my evil self talk is. I'll be all pumped for a work out and then about 15 reasons of why I shouldn't work out tonight appear. Now I force myself into situations where backing out is not an option. Seems to work for me :)

Jared,

The brain doesn't differentiate between "don't" or not. It is hearing "hit it left" and you are doing exactly what you tell it

The mind is an amazing thing! Tell it positive things and your world becomes pretty awesome. I'm still working on that part

Thanks for stopping by!
