I’ve held off until now talking about Tiger Woods, his alleged affairs, voice mail, car crash, the citation the Florida Highway Patrol issued, his poor wife Elin, and what I think is equally as important is him NOT playing golf. Especially in his own tournament. This is a sad time in golf. Our most celebrated star on the covers of tabloids, and the rage on TMZ.
Not only is TMZ.com going crazy, but many sites and blogs like Huffington Post, Golf.com, and a ton of golf blogs. It also seems like more women, not only Rachel Uchitel and Jaimee Grubbs are coming out of the wood work saying they had intimate affairs with Tiger also.
I don’t know what to say or think, but I am inviting you to join in on the conversation by commenting below. I want to know what the rest of the golfing community is thinking right now.
I know I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. As they say, “innocent until proven guilty” right? I have admired Tiger Woods since he came on tour over 10 years ago. I even watched his 3rd straight US Amateur he won by comeback up in Oregon at Pumpkin Ridge. I remember coming home and telling my wife, “I just watched this KID Tiger Woods, and man he’s going to be something”. I really did say that… just ask my wife
It’s a shame he isn’t playing in his own tournament, but I can’t blame him. I would stay inside too! I hope this blows over soon, and the tabloids and media drop it.
Here’s a golf blog friend of mine with a Tiger post: Grouchy Golf
Update: Sources are now saying Elin would get $300 million if she leaves Tiger
Please chime in below and let me know your thoughts.

Should have done a David Letterman….and moved on……..
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:46 am
I don’t care where Tiger was going at 2:30 in the morning and I don’t care about his fender bender. I care that he was not injured.
If he and his wife are having marital problems I hope they seek out the help they need so they can continue to grow together with their children.
With that being said, if he has been cheating on her that becomes a different story for me. I am holding out until all of the facts are out.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:44 am
Exactly right Bobby… With the exception that while I don’t like anyone cheating on their spouse, I’m not in agreement that it is the public’s right to be involved in that situation. That is something that the couple needs to find an appropriate response and action between themselves.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:34 am
I like this reply and agree with it very much. We all need to remember the Bible and what it says: LET YOU WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE
People are reading a lon onto the whole thing. Tiger has a life with out Golf so just leave it there and hope that he gets well and cand play in the next Tournment.
Keep up the good work Tiger and enjoy your private LIFE.
December 2nd, 2009 at 11:48 am
Well, that didn’t take long…100% FRAUD…
December 2nd, 2009 at 3:40 pm
I agree – nobody’s business but his. He never made himself a celebrity- the public did. With all due respect, let him who is without sin cast the first stone..
December 3rd, 2009 at 10:56 am
Why does the seemingly whole world feel that they should get involved with Tiger’s personal life? Let’s just wait and see what he does with his family in the future.
December 2nd, 2009 at 3:23 pm
Like many rich men who travel a ton, Tiger is just another slub who got caught with his pants down. These beautiful women tell him they love him, while they are on their knees, and doing all those kinky things that the wife does not, while all they are looking for is a check.
This is a new story. We all can name several in recent years, The screwing he is going to get is not worth the screwing he got! Getting caught sucks!
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:06 pm
You said it best: The screwing he is going to get is not worth the screwing he got! Getting caught sucks! WTF – why did he ever get married?
December 3rd, 2009 at 6:06 pm
getting caught is not the problem. I’m divoced w/four children and part of why I’m in my situation is from “transgressions” of my own. I think tiger, just like me is about to face reality in the most unforgiving way. Sorry about the harsh language but he f’d up. I would not be supprised if he declines in his profession and health. this is a reality check for tiger and i am glad i am not him even with all the money in the world, because this is the toughest thing for someone to go through in someones life when children are involved.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:06 pm
I think what happens between Tiger Woods and his wife is no one’s business. We are so focused on what’s happening with people in the public eye and relish any scandal we can read and hear about on the news. If I were Tiger I’d publicly tell people to go piss up a rope. He has the money to do it and is popular enough that his true fans won’t take exception to it.
December 3rd, 2009 at 10:06 am
I have a nine year old grandson who has followed Tiger for five years. Tiger has let a lot of KIDS down.
December 3rd, 2009 at 6:34 pm
I’m sad to read your comment, I was a tiger fan and i understand that people make mistakes but i just cant understand why such a high profiled individule, where children and adults looked up to him, and lets face it we adults thought he was super human as well as children, would be so selfish. Its sad and it makes me verry emotional. I dont wish what is going on with that family on anyone. I dont know how he can repair the damage he has done to the youth. How can you tell your kids that tiger was wrong? He has no idea the impact his discissions have made.
December 3rd, 2009 at 1:59 pm
We can only judge the man on his golf!
Let he who is free from sin, cast the first stone.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:27 am
So much for the squeeky clean Tiger. I am sure this is a source of tremendous embarassment for him and his wife. I wish him well and encourage him to come clean and move on with his life.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:50 am
I totally agree with Hndicp4. In my eyes Tiger is a great person and a great golfer. He is still young and I am sure that many of us have been in smilar situations and have grown from them. The best to Tiger and his family.
December 2nd, 2009 at 6:21 pm
hmmmmm…..I have never cheated and don’t ever plan to…..it is called “self constraint”; “self discipline”, and if he was that unhappy for that long…then get a divorce and screw anyone he wants…then it won’t be cheating…..
December 3rd, 2009 at 7:35 am
Susie, you are a paragon of virtue who has never done anything wrong in your life. I am sure you are destined for sainthood.
Number one, you are not Tiger Woods. He is not the first famous, wealthy person to succumb to the wiles of some unscrupulous women. Why doens’t anyone mention their lack of character? They all knew he was married. They know who he is and who his wife is. Yeah he is wrong for cheating on his wife. But I dont think he should be crucified for his transgressions. None of us know what their marriage is like. Maybe she just married him for the money, Sounds like it to me since she isn’t divorcing him after getting him to change the pre-nup to increase the amount and drop the ten year requirement. But they will sleep in separate rooms. Yeah poor Elin. She got what she wanted. Dont cry for her.
December 3rd, 2009 at 11:00 am
Best response I’ve read all day. Hear here.
December 6th, 2009 at 7:41 pm
Hi,
Long term Tiger fan, I have watched him in awe over many years. I think what he has done in regards to serial cheating on his wife is an absolute disgrace. To cheat on a wife consistently – the mother of your children is disgusting and shows emotional immaturity.
Its another childhood star who has no clue about real life and real relationships. Tiger has never done a real days work in his life and is hence – lacking in life skills. Quite a sad situation when you think about it.
I hope Elin leaves him and finds I good mature guy (I’m free Elin!) who can treat her the way she should be treated.
I will continue to marvel at Tigers golfing skills but man.. he is a seriously mixed up a puppy!
December 6th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Anthony,
I would not disagree with you on your thoughts. This is getting crazier by the minute. I would have never thought any of this would be Tiger Woods, but at the same time, does not surprise me either.
Mike
December 24th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
I totally agree with Anthony.
I’m so disappointed that Tiger carried on like he was a real “model citizen”, someone that everyone could look up to, what a wolf in sheep’s clothes.
I do hope that something good will come out of this horrible mess. It would be such a loss for Tiger to be gone forever from the PGA.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:23 pm
U R Naive
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:27 am
The guy is entitled to a private life sometimes. Leave him alone.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:28 am
The statement on his website speaks volumes even though it says nothing. Nonetheless, I think our obsession with all things celebrity is far more disconcerting than anything that may have happened with Woods.
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:34 pm
I agree with mrob. There are millions of people out their that eat up this kind of thing .
And the media is always ready to jump in and feed on these people. MY thought, the media is there to “SELL” the news. This sort of news sells (unfortunately)
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:30 am
Should the allegations prove true, my only comment would be that Tiger come clean to his family first and foremost, and then the rest of us…he owes us that much. My biggest regret is that he has tarnished his image as a hero to not only the adults of this world, but also to all those young “would-be Tigers” as well. I doubt that he can recover from this completely and he will forever be looked upon in a different light. He can still keep his dignity by doing the right thing, but he has lost my respect, not as a golfer or sports super-star, but as a husband and father.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:37 am
You have made him guilty without proof. He owes the public nothing. Whatever he needs to do is his business.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:51 pm
You’ve never been more wrong Dave. Tiger never had a problem finding the camera in the room when it benefited him financially. He has sold the golf and sports “world” this squeaky clean, loving family man image that has made him hundreds of millions of dollars in indorsements. With that kind of money comes huge responsiblities. Tiger failed miserably. I never believed that Tiger was the class act that Phil is, and now he just proved it. Don’t get me wrong. I wish him all the success in the world in rebuilding his marriage and saving his family and fortune. I just believe it’s time for him to “man-up”. The real tragedy in this story is Elin and the kids. What an idiot to have risked this kind of embarrassment and exposure to his wife and family. Wonder how good he thinks that “sex on the side” was now? No Dave, there is a story here and Tiger owes the public and his family an explanation as long as he plans on making money from something he clearly isn’t.

December 3rd, 2009 at 9:16 am
Leave the man alone! Can anyone alive today truly say with a straight face that a true majority of American men/women are not victims of immoral faults? Tiger and his family deserve their privacy, no matter what the public craves. No one knows the true percentage of the country’s 300 million souls have shadows or dark clouds in the false persona attributed by the media or false perceptions assumed by the masses.
From a distance, who knows what another person has or has not done in secrecy when out of the glare of a camera. I don’t need to be informed about some other icon (100% perception/speculation). Comparisons tainted in any micro increments or gross generalizations are no better than a rumor. Tiger is just another normal human being who has been elevated on a pedestal by faulty public perception.
What a country! We are often too quick to make a judgment of someone’s character when our own house is not pristine. Tiger Woods has done a ton of good deeds . . . and those deeds should be recognized and appreciated. Hopefully, he has learned a lifetime lesson! He has apologized to his family, and the best thing that can happen is that his family has a big enough heart to forgive him . . . and move on to a higher plane! I offer my best wishes for their success. Finally, it would be much better for the media to deal with more important issues . . . the possibility of another sudden ice age, feel good subjects, climate change, or the necessity of man to effectively deal with poverty and disease! Fred
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:46 am
I agree that he must deal with his family post haste. If he is guilty I hope he does whatever damage control needed because young people will be influenced by his actions the wrong way. With a profile stature comes a responsibilty to those who watch and imitate
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:30 am
I believe he should pay his fine. Also all people are suseptible to temptation. Around stars there seems to be more of it. He is only human. If he did it, it is between he and his wife. Also, I’ll make a bet the person who is reporting it or blowing it out of proportion, is not married, or is cheating also.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:32 am
Tiger Woods is human like the rest of us. People, move on there are more serious problems in this country that need to be addressed.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:46 am
Totally agree. Why the hell doesn’t everyone just leave him alone.
It’s not just your country, here in the UK this is front page news.
Lets get back to the issues that really are news.
December 2nd, 2009 at 11:56 pm
John, U R right Tiger is human but not like those of us who take marriage seriously, since U R so high and mighty, tell us what problems in this country U would like addressed?
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:32 am
He’s a stud. It was inevitable. I hate that it happened and it leaves me feeling empty. I have no idea how he’ll combat the shame. It’s now a part of his career. And who knows if Jack has more trophies in that regard??? Maybe.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:32 am
The whole situation just proves that we’re all human…. some of us are under a microscope for every move we make. Most of us couldn’t survive such treatment. His stature; physical, mental, monitary and public lead many people to his door…. some of which have motives that we’ve never experienced. All that being said….I had hoped that he would continue to escape the jaws of the many sharks in his water… hopefully the bite from this one will not deter him from being the person I believe he was and still is.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:32 am
Unfortunately, the cat is out of the bag on this one and there are so many more questions than answers. Namely, would Elin have tried to rescue Tiger by smashing in the back window? No, most people believe that is what CAUSED the accident.
Bottom line is I agree with Joe, Tiger’s privacy can only go so far. It’s like President Obama telling the nation he needs a few months to chill out.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:32 am
I think Tiger has some personal issues to contend with. I also think someone jumped in front of his vehicle and he tried to avoid whoever that was and hit the tree and hydrant. He did not attend the (his) tournament because he needs to take time and straighten some things out. He should have met with the FHP and got that out of the way. Thats the manly way to handle things and they made to big of a deal out of it by going on television.
From an ex Highway patrolman.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:32 am
This seems to be a personal matter and I think the media should back off !
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:35 am
Leave the guy alone. He is a great golfer and gives back more than most of us earn every year (and more as the years go on and his foundation builds). He is a man and puts on his pants one leg at a time just like the rest of us. He is a celebrity because he can control the little white pill better than anyone on the PLANET! He had a fight with his wife and left a heated situation before it “Escalated”. Good for him – we’ve all been there with either wives, girlfriends or significant others and/or family members. Leave him alone and let’s all get back to watching him hit the ball!
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:35 am
Well I’m glad you asked, I believe that Tiger needs to get off his high horse and remember where he got all his money. Do like Phil does and acknowlegle the people who prays him. I think the police were too nice to him because he really needs a big kick in the ASS. I’m sure his father is turning over in his grave with his son’s actions. My question to him did you forget where you came from??????
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:36 am
It’s no one’s business but his and his wife’s. And as far as me and everyone else out here who are fans of Tiger Woods, our concerns should be for his game – that’s what brought him to our attention and that’s what will keep him in our attention. His personal life is HIS business and none of mine.
This man is probably the greatest professional golfer of all time. And that’s all he is. A man. And a professional golfer.
He is also a husband and a father and he’s got more money than I’ll ever have or anybody I know. That doesn’t make him special. That doesn’t give me the right to sick my nose in his business. Not until he picks up a club and steps on the course.
I just hope there has been no injury that will have a long lasting affect on his game.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:37 am
Tiger, like most men, screwed up. He doesn’t need to give anyone details, but fess up to the stiuation at least! My wife and I have this understanding… “Women have more faults than men can ever hope to count. Men have only two… Everything we say & everything we do!” Sooner or later, no matter who you are, there will be something that will come back to bite you. Stupid mistakes are acceptable. Especially the stupid mistakes we men make. This all comes down to a quote by Robin Williams… “God gave man a brain and a penis, but only enough blood to run one at a time.”
This doesn’t diminish Tiger as an sports icon, but I have to wonder how it will affect his game. The mental aspect is probably the toughest thing to master and with the load he’s going to be carrying over this will it come back to make winning more difficult for him?
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:38 am
In the Marines we were told “believe nothing you hear and half of what you see”
with that said….It would really be a shocker if he sent text messages..
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:35 am
Why would he use HIS cell phone to call skanks? Buy a disposable phone or use Stevie’s.
If he wanted to be a player like his idol Michael Jordan then he should have stayed single. Now he is ruining the lives of his wife and kids. Maybe Elin will forgive him, but IMO the marriage will never be the same.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:39 am
I feel guilty even being interested in what’s going on with Tiger. Whatever he’s dealing with is between him and his family. But he’s a public figure – we shouldn’t feel entitled to any explanation from him, but it does seem to be part of the bargain between a superstar athlete and the public that made him a superstar. I wish him well and hope he’s back on the course soon. But I also lament that unlike the rest of us he has to deal with any issues in his personal and family life in the glare of the media. Anyone who’s gone through a tough personal stretch – be it a personal tragedy or a personal transgression – can probably attest that dealing with it is tough enough without having to hole up in your house and avoid any contact with the outside world for fear of the paparazzi. I wish him well…
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:39 am
I think it’s all a big waste of time, anybody ever get a ticket before! I do however think Tiger needs to work on his driving accuracy, he needs to stay out of the tree line! Let’s all mind our own business, there are bigger things in the world to worry about.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:39 am
This is Tiger and his family’s issue, and they should be allowed to deal with it in their way, privately. There’s no doubt there are a lot of questions unanswered, and that’s all right, we don’t need to know details about ones private life, unless they are making decisions that affect others, publicly, another words. So, I say let Tiger be and his family, their actions will tell the story.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:40 am
Tiger woods owes us nothing.. no comment, no explaination and anyone who thinks so is a retard. The only people he owes anything to is his family. Why the media would cover something so silly is beyond me, Maybe they had nothing else good to report on the president.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:41 am
He is human. Having been married it is not easy. Allegations are just that allegations. I hope this ends well for him and his family but it really is none of my business. I wish him the best.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:42 am
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:43 am
Tiger is only human. Whether the issue was drink, a fight with his wife or anything else, leave the guy alone, let him sort it out privatly, like you or I would like to happen if it was us.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:43 am
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:45 am
Well… if the allegations prove to be true, then the Hero has instantly become just another number in the long line of “Heros” that we have created in this country. None of us can really know what the situation is at home for him, but it doesn’t matter. There is NO EXCUSE for every cheating on your wife… especially that wife. I mean… give me a break! Till now, I had considered Tiger as the GREATEST golfer of all time… But if this is true, Jack Nicklaus once again becomes the Greatest ever. Being a Great golfer means more than just shooting 67′s every day…. it also means carrying on the integrity of the game, on and off the course….Looks like Tiger is the best in the 18 hole game, but he’s not so good on the 19th hole..
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:46 am
What is the Saying ? “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. It’s Elin and Tiger’s business to sort out and I don’t think any of us have enough information to make a judgement on this. They should have their privacy.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:47 am
I love to watch Tiger play golf, just as I loved to hear and watch Frank Sinatra sing and perform. As a good friend and relative once said “keep your role models close to home. “
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:26 am
I accept the stigma associated with my thoughts. My first thought and actually my last thought is it is none of our business. But, then there are lingering questions because of who he is and what was reported. Had this accident occurred in normal hours I don’t think there would have been any questions, but it happened around 2:30 in the morning along with unsubstantiated reports of problems with their marriage? Still none of my business. But then, It doesn’t take too much to severely damage a car even at 5 MPH because they make the front end so that it collapses. Still none of my business. However, at a speed where facial injury severe enough to cause unconsciousness occurs the air bag deploys. In a GM vehicle the On-Star will automatically send an alert when the air bag deploys. The air bag can cause bruising, but not cuts, and it was reported that Tiger had lacerations and was unconscious, which are not consistent with air bag deployment accidents. Was an alert sent by On-Star? Why not? What caused the lacerations and unconsciousness? The airbag didn’t work? What? So yeah, it’s still none of my business, but I have questions.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:28 am
I think his cute white wife lost it when he came home drunk again as far as a mistress he has more than one with his money. he is human and if they try and give you some free well he will take it. What do you think
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:29 am
I think Tiger and wife had a domestic fight. She chased him out the door
with a golf club in hand. She broke out the back window with the club while
chasing him. He turned around to see what was up and hit the fire hydrant
and then the pole.
It doesn’t make any sense that she would break out the rear window of a
large vehicle, Escalade, to get someone out of the driver’s seat. He
probably wasn’t wearing a seat belt due to the speed of him exiting the
garage.
Tiger is human after all.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:32 am
I couldn’t care less about an athlete’s private life. However, I don’t think any of this happens if his father was still alive.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:53 am
yea for sure cause that old man would prob bust his ass jk
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:33 am
Mike,
I think something went on in that house that neither wants to talk about,
which is fine, but being involved in an accident and than not coming forward
to even talk about what happened is another story. It would be entirely
different situation if Mr. Woods worked on the assembly line at GE, but with
his notoriety people are speculating as to what really happened. Like me
most people feel that there is some type of coverup.
Gary
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:34 am
I think the the forth estate has quit reporting news and concerns itself with gossip, the fault lays with everyone because the majority of the people love to watch their heroes be destroyed. I don’t get it, Tiger Woods is a great golfer that is all I care about in this case. He was charged with a traffic violation and I assume will pay that . I am looking forward to seeing him play again very soon. The rest is none of my business quite frankly.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:34 am
Absolutely & unequivocally a private matter only relevant to his family!! No crime was committed & it has nothing to do with golf which should be our only interest. ITS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS!!!!! None of us should be speculating or asking each other what we think.
Ask me about his swing, but nothing else.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:35 am
Mike,
Tiger Woods is a dear friend and I think the matter is closed. I’m at the Chevron World Challenge playing in the Pro Am and everyone here is support Tiger Woods speedy recovery from his accident. And welcoming him and his wife back to the Golf World. I would love to have seen him here this week, but his injuries is preventing him from performing. I pray he shows up with his family that would be grand and a Blessing.
Please understand Tiger is a man, a husband and a father. Let’s respect that.

surprising to say the least….seems there was a lesson to learn bout mixing black athletics and with white women dont ya think?
and if he didnt get her to sign a prenuptial, hope that pussy was worth a half a billion dollars!
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:38 am
Mike
Im shocked at the allegations that Tiger sent sexually explicit text messages to this 24 year old cocktail waitress. This will the first major judgement error Tiger has made that will have adverse ramifications to the Golf Industry. The game. those who play it, and make a living from golf have enjoyed the increased business revenues in the Tiger era, but this black eye could affect our business.

Tiger ran over a fire hydrant. He has to pay a $165 fine (which will probably not affect his financial future). End of story. There may be issues between him and his wife but we are not “owed” any information about this at all.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:38 am
The only people who cares is the media. From me “Who the hell cares whats going on in Tigers priivate life. Stay cool Tiger, all will be well when the media gets another stupid story.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:39 am
The only thing that bothers me is if he didn’t or won’t tell all the truth about the accident, will he tell the truth if he is addressing the ball and it moves? It kind of leaves me wondering.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:40 am
Half of us spend all of our time putting him on a pedestal and the other half keep trying to tear him down. At the end of the day, Tiger doesn’t owe us anything. He only has to answer to his wife and family. It’s’ time we stop thinking he owes US anything because he doesn’t. Why we expect celebs to be perfect is beyond me because, at the end of the day, we are all the same. If it ever comes out he fooled around, be sure you judge him to the same level you judged your high school friend or work buddy or family member when they stepped out because you know you wont. Back off and leave him alone.
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:42 am
6 reasons why no explanation needed, or from any golfer or sports professional, such as Phil, VJ, Yang, and the whole field.
There was important news at the moment that needed coverage and not this from gossip seeking media and tabloids. America stop letting celebrities and reality shows consume your lives.
1. satisfied U.S. Fl law
2. 4 police officers killed-families of 9 kids affected
3. Afghanistan – U.S. troops dying daily
4. Iraq – U. S. troops dying daily
5. Kids being abducted and killed in the USA
6. Iran & N. Korea – problem children to the world
7. Corrupt politics
8. USA homeless and hunger
9. People, live your lives and stop trying to live in others especially when no one is perfect.
10. If you have no life do not try to get into others, because I am sure there Is no room for visitors, because they are full with privacy
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:44 am
The reality is that all top sport persons, film stars, media personalities are looked at as Public Property by the media and therefore are subjected to constant attention of fact and rumor, and chased by paparazzi wherever they go. David Beckham is a prime example.
Tiger has successfully avoided scrutiny of his private life so far and the rumors have been few. That is now over and Tiger totally mismanaged the PR of this incident which only invited more examination by the media. Look at the politicians who have been exposed by the media in the last few years.
It is not that these stars should be held to any higher standard than the rest of us, it is that should be much more careful and face difficult issues immediately and frankly to protect not just themselves but also their families.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:34 am
It is high time that we allow even one of the most revered “stars” to have a private life. There is no need for any of us to know everything about Tiger or anyone else for that matter. I wouldn’t want to face the scrutiny that much of the public seems to think is their right to know about high profile people.
I will still watch him golf with awe. He conducts his public life with class and that is all that matters to me. Good luck to Tiger and Elin. I wish them both well and look forward to Tiger’s return to the links.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:35 am
He confessed today – It was all true. He’s a lying dirtbag who deserves a permanent case of the shanks.
I bet he’d cheat at golf if he could.
He’s up there with Clemons, A-Rod, Koby and all the other dirtbags.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:45 am
Let’s hope you never live under the scrutiny of the public eye. Tiger didn’t shoot anyone, rob anyone, commit any kind of a felony. He broke a promise, like he was the first one ever to do that !! Let’s see what he does now, and thank goodness you’re not a judge in the court system
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:40 am
Tiger’s family business is with his family, and his real friends, not with the public. If the shoe was on the other foot would you want your dirty laundry hung out for all to see, and misinterpret ?? Blah, blah, blah Tiger this and Tiger that, in this time of war and economic stress how important is Tiger’s foopah ?? . Tiger is human, he makes mistakes, let his family sort it out, and let’sget out off his personal life.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:42 am
Tiger has apparently admitted to “transgressions”, so we know he’s not entirely innocent. In some respects, despite his success and world travels, I believe Tiger has led a sheltered life, and is consequently less wise about the “ways of the world”. How naive was he to think his dalliances would not sooner or later come to light? Remember Tom Wolfe’s “Bonfire of the Vanities”, in which the protagonist was a so-called Master of the Universe living the good life, untouchable, above the teeming masses of little guys. Tiger must have felt that way tenfold, with his stature and money. There’s nothing (or no one) he couldn’t have.
Unfortunately, the chicks are coming home to roost.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:43 am
As far as I’m concerned, he has complied with the law re the wreck. His personal life may be another question. I suppose he does have the right to keep this within the family, however, the press will do a good job of blowing it out of proportion just because of who he is, and this is unfortunate. For many, he is quilty before he is tried.
This may have some ill effects on professional golf, yet many of the pros are “party boys/frat boys” at heart, so some of the actions of a few are well known, unfortuantely.
Hopefully, this will all settle down. I think there are others who are coming to the fore that may well displace Tiger, accident or not.

I did agree with the police officer. There was much more at stake than Tiger’s action – Elin’s involvement. He also knew there would possibly be legal issues. Silence is always the best advice to protect himself and his wife. The Constitution gives those rights. I am very saddened and shocked by Tiger’s behavior. I have noticed for a couple of weeks that he has had some hidden issues by his actions on the course and demeanor – something has been eating at him. I think he knew this was about to explode in his face before it happened. I also think it was cheesy of the press to leak this matter out at Thanksgiving when families are gathered together to celebrate. The same effect and responses they were after could have been accomplished the weekend after. Tiger should learn a lesson – never underestimate the wrath of a woman. It is hard to be a husband and a father when you are never home. My prayers are with him and his family. I hope Elin can get by this, she deserves better.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:52 am
I am so disappointed and for some reason I am hurt too. I guess it is just because I thought he was above this kind of stuff and he was a man whom I admired for his skill and for his image. An image now tarnished and bent beyond ever recovering to his previous level.
My heart goes out to Elin and I hope and pray they can work through this. Her pain will not easily go away and it will take a long time for her to regain trust.
Tiger has betrayed us all.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:45 am
Are you not assuming a lot here? Is it our business to comment and guess in this way?
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:53 am
If you knew, or knew of his dad…you will see…the apple does not fall far from the tree. Did you ever wonder why you never saw Tigers mom or dad together? His dad would use Tiger to get women ever since he was a small child. I witnessed this at his amateur win at Pumpkin Ridge. If the public and media want to rush to his side…that’s OK…however…you are truth deniers at the very least. The media has a huge stake in protecting him, if they don’t, Tiger will not grant them access. BTW…Jiimbo…Tiger is not “less wise”…believe me, he knows exactly what goes on in the world!
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:56 am
Tiger has had problems with golf just didnt know he was having a problem with his other stroke….jk
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:08 am
First, I am a fan of Tiger’s GOLF game. What he does in his personal life is his and his families business and no one else. He has a right to his privacy in dealing with his personal matters, I am disappointed in that he won’t be competing in his own tournament or won’t be around at all because it is for charity.
For those wanting all the details, get a life. Enjoy Tiger for his golf game and let him have his privacy. An athlete or superstar found to be having an affair is not news. It happens more often than not. See Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, and on and on.
It is more amazing they can keep it quiet for as long as they do, but their transgressions are family matter that they have to deal with. It is important to seperate the appreciation for one’s athletic talent with their personal lives.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:27 am
It is a sad day for golf and role models. I have always thought of Tiger as a class act and I am very disappointed. I sincerely hope he can resolve his marital situation and focus on being the best husband and father he can be.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:30 am
the best way to deal with these things id to meet them head on and beat the Tabliods to the punch. clear the air right a way. it’s not like he was dog fighting or shot himself in the leg.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:38 am
I commented earlier and indicated that the only thing Tiger WAS doing wrong was he was not fessing up to the situation. Don’t need details, just a simple overview.
Now he’s done that and, rightfully, asked that he be allowed to deal with his personal matters in private. Granted! He’s stopped the speculation by admitting he has faults. No names needed. No further details required.
It is unfortunate that every woman who has, or believes she has, had some kind of intimate contact with him is going to come crawling out of the woodwork for their 15 minutes of fame. This is just going to make it worse for him, but we make our own beds, so I don’t feel sorry for him in the least.
I will still speculate on how this is going to affect his play when he returns. It’s a huge burden to carry and, if he’s really a feeling person, he won’t be able to leave it off the course. It should be eating him alive.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:39 am
I personally do not care whether Tiger cheated on his wife or not…that is his business and his family concern. I attend golf tournaments to see Tiger play golf, not hear about his social life. I know a few people who have cheated on their spouses and it has not affected my life one bit, why should Tigers life be any different to me.

Nothing More, Nothing Less
Tiger Woods is a great and famous golfer. I, and many, know him for his golf. He is also a billionaire from his sponsors due to his great skill in the game – nothing more, nothing less.
He was out the other evening and had an accident. There was a cause to the accident and that is his personal business – nothing more, nothing less.
Tiger Woods is a person. I care for people. I hope he is well and gets over his injury in due time. He should take the time he needs to recover fully and this is for his injury during the accident and any other issues he has. His issues are his issues – nothing more, nothing less.
When he, or anyone, wants to make issues public open to societies view then we may question. He is not in public office abusing federal property so he has the right to privacy and he is still breathing clean air as any human would be – nothing more, nothing less.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:44 am
I have never been impressed without Tiger has handled himself. He has shown a lot of arrogance on and off the course. This whole privacy thing is nothing like what Arnold brought to the game. When there are kids at tournaments seeking an autograph every player is there except for Tiger. When John Daly has problems I feel for the guy but not Tiger. JD is fan friendly and so is Phil, Padraig, VJ, Tiger is in class all of his own.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:44 am
Mike,
I’m disappointed you felt the need to jump on the media frenzy band wagon – I wish Tiger and his family all the best and look forward to his return to the course. None of us walk in his shoes, none of us were there that night, and none of us are qualified to criticize or comment. Since I don’t endorse what you’ve started with your solicitation of comments please remove me from your subscriber list. You need to stick to your own business.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:46 am
Seems to me a waste of time for the media. I have no interest in what Tiger Woods did or didn’t do that caused this accident. The initial report of the accident may have warranted the attention but it has now reached a level of tabloid journalism.
December 2nd, 2009 at 10:52 am
he owes an apology to the public when he slams his clubs around during tournament play. his private life should be of no concern to anyone other than family and friends.
December 2nd, 2009 at 11:41 am
Wow… no shortage of opinions!
I think Tiger finds himself in a very tenuous situation. I guess he is human after all!
I hope he and his wife can find a way to move past this and put the family back together. However, the media is not going to back off so it probably is going to get worse for him. He may not come out for months.
It`s amazing how quick someone`s life can change!
December 2nd, 2009 at 11:42 am
I hope for his families sake the rumours are the trash that seems to come from the tabloids; to me Tiger appears to be a man of courage and high morals. From down here in New Zealand,I struggle to understand why so many Americans want to knock successful people down;is it jealousy? These are the same journalists that shove a microphone in the face of parents who have just lost a child, and ask “How do you feel”
Get a life!
December 2nd, 2009 at 11:45 am
He plays a game – He doesn’t have to be accountable to anyone except his family.
I’d like to see him give something to the game besides his skills – However, I respect his personal side and so be it.
December 2nd, 2009 at 11:51 am
Wow
This has really stirred the pot! I really appreciate everyone coming in here and sharing their “2 cents” worth. Thank you!
Cheers,
Mike
December 2nd, 2009 at 11:53 am
I feel disappointed, but not surprised! I also feel, the media and fans need to let Tiger and Elin work this out on there own. With all that’s going on in the world this, is of little importance. Opinions, are like a–holes everybodys got one. We need to spend more time working on real problems and less on celeberties private lives. A Hudson

I don’t see why this is such a big deal, we’ve been watching Tiger drive into trees and water hazards for years.

HI MIKE………….I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A ONE WOMEN MAN, SURE I STILL LOOK AT A GOOD LOOKING WOMEN & WONDER WHAT SHE WOULD BE LIKE, HEY I`M 71, BUT JUST LOOK THAT IS THE KEY. IF TIGER IS DICKING AROUND THAT ISN`T GOING TO GO DOWN VERY WELL AT HOME. SO IF HIS WIFE CLUBS HIM OVER THE HEAD HE IS GOING TO BE GETTING WHAT HE DESERVES. WITH ALL IS STUFF BEING ON THE NEWS I`M SURE THIS WILL HAVE SOME EFFECT ON HIS GOLF GAME FOR SEVERAL MONTHS TO COME. I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOY WATCHING TIGER PLAY GOLF IN FACT IF HE IS NOT IN THE TOURNMENT I HAVE NO INTEREST IN WATCHING THESE OTHER GUYS. LIFE IS WHAT WE MAKE IT BUT I THINK HIS KIDS WILL BE THE BIG LOSER HERE IF CONTINUES THIS WOMENIZING THING……..MAY YOUR PUTS FIND THE HOLE, MIND DID LAST MONTH 15 ONE PUTTS FOR A SCORE OF 69……………………JOE
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:06 pm
Mike:
Tiger is argueably the best golfer …. ever.
He is also argueably the dumbest guy on the planet.
How could he even hope to keep this a secret for years ?
Dont think he is inoccent ….. otherwise he would be out there telling people he is being trashed …..
and the people would believe him. No, he blew his life.
On a non Tiger issue:
I am 75 years old and have notice a big drop off on in distance and accuracy this year.
I have no physical problems.
Can you recommend a DVD or book that would give me about 3 excersises that would give me
a chance to recover some of my golf skills? Dont want to go over the 3 exercise limit.
Thanx Tom
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:08 pm
Mike,
Tiger being such a major figure in sports creates a lot of speculation of what exactly did happen. Yes, there’s answers the public would like to know, but Tiger is Tiger — quiet with a temper and in his own world.
We just hope all is well with him and his family. And that in time, all will be disolved and we can move on to see his great display of golf magic.
Happy Holidays!
Ted
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:09 pm
Nothing ANYBODY does in this day and age should be a surprise,
including the endless lies and speculations made about the famous.
I hope every low-life who lies about him for money or notoriety
lives to regret it.
I hope he gets his personal life sorted out as soon as possible.
As a golfer, I care more about those childish temper tantrums
on the course, than I do about his women woes.
cheers,
Michael

I’m most disappointed in that Tiger was a role model for thousands of children and young people. He has lost this role model image.

I still feel that there is more to this than meets one’s eye. I, like many who were interviewed on The Golf Channel, feel he should have been more forthcoming, and this could tarnish his image with one big ?
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:22 pm
My thought are this He has a personal life so leave him alone. The news media are always trying to stir things up to make headlines. So he had a spat with his
Wife, I have been married for 53 yrs. And we have had a few also. She has never hit me over the head but I can assure you she should have a few times.
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:23 pm
TIger is a professional golfer and a marketing guru who has used his agent to create a squeaky clean image. That well crafted image makes him about five times a year more than his on course winnings and has made him the wealthiest athlete in all sports. You cannot separate the two parts of his life. By managing his image so well he was able to choose his sponsors very carefully and therefore make higher endorsements than anyone else. More to the point in this incident. He can’t use his public image to demand huge endorsements and then expect to keep himself out of the public eye. He has transformed a game of honor into billionairehood based on his perceived high level of integrity. If that integrity was faked then the public has every right to know. Integrity means everything in a game based on the honor system. His level of respect will go down (and so should his endorsements) not because he made errors in judgement AND because he tried to hide the truth from a press he loves to manipulate for personal gain. I don’t blame the press for his pain, I blame Tiger. I am disappointed in his coverup.
December 2nd, 2009 at 3:47 pm
I agree to some of your comments, Bogey, and hear come the but ——- you stated “Integrity means everything in a game based on the honor system. His level of respect will go down”. Now, what are you going to say about all the other PGA players who have ran around? Some of the best have played around on their wives, how much are you going to lable them as having faked integrity?
Having integrity, for the game, is one thing and having it in his marriage is another. Do I condone his conduct —– NO. Do I forgive him for being so stupid and disrespectfull toward his wife and family and fans —– YES.
He is human and this is probably the best thing that could happen to him. So, lets just stop and support him and his family through a situation that happens all too often. But, let us not tarnish his integrity on the course.
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:24 pm
It’s sad to see what is happening to Tiger but not surprising. When you are a sporting superstar no matter how hard you try to protect your privacy it is under threat constantly. You live in a goldfish bowl!
Like many of the other people who have commented I feel particularly sorry for his wife and children who are really the victims here(golf may also become a victim). Tiger himself has everything anyone could possibly want but it is obviously not enough. Once he has been caught breaking the law he must expect to be treated just like any other citizen.
One could make some superficial comparisons with this situation and Edward Kennedy’s Chappoquittick (apologies for the spelling) experience

why do people all ways want t sticky beak into others business Tiger might me a celebrity & the best thing to happen to golf but this does not make his private life public if he`s cheating on his wife then it is between them two & no one else lets preserve & look after this phenonimal egnima of an icon not hassle & pry into to his private life so that he gets driven a way from this great game no one person is greater than the game but lets not forget GOLF NEEDS TIGER MORE THAN TIGER NEEDS GOLF

Hej Mike.
About Tiger.
All human beings should have a “dummie – quota” because nobody is infallible. I got a tremendous respect for Tiger as a golfer. Let us all respect his, yours and my right to privacy in familie matters. Maybe it´s Tiger-time to make use of the “dummie-quota” in this case – so what!!
And……..
I have a question for you about your Golf Fitness DVDs and bocklets.
I got your Ultimate Golf Fitness DVD/bocklet – Intermediate Level. In the bocklet you are recommended a lot off other DVDs/ bocklets as follow-up. But I am a little confused and hope you can help me.
I am a 59 year, male, hcp. 7,3, golfer for many years, earlier elite volley-player (nationalteam in Denmark). I am really tall and not fat at all!! I play golf for fun and pleasure in competition with families and good friends. But I want to be a better and better golfer…! At the moment I am in physical bad condition – and I want to use your way of golf-fitness- training. What do you recommend?
Sorry for my bad english – despite that I hope you understand my mail.
Many golf- greetings from
Bent Olsen

Discipline. Focus. Resolve. Determination.
Those words might describe his golf game, but certainly can’t be used for his commitment to Elin or his children.

tiger personal life is nothing todo with the media, he is human being there will be family argument and do silly things leave him alone
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:39 pm
I AM SO SORRY FOR TIGER AND HIS FAMILY. I AM PRAYING FOR THEM AND WISHING THEM HEALING. I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF TIGER FROM THE BEGINNING AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HIS BEHAVIOR BUT I WILL CONTINUE TO BE A FAN.
December 2nd, 2009 at 12:41 pm
I don’t think it is a sad day for golf. This has nothing to with golf. It is a sad day for role models. Unfortunately Tiger has now placed himself among the likes of all the other high profile celebrities that got CAUGHT with their pants down. He no longer has the perception of the “whole package” like Jack and Arnold have. Game and family integrity. I have never thought he was the squeaky clean guy that people thought he was so I am not surprised. Think about it. Who would you compare Tigers demeanor, swagger, personality etc to, Jack and Arnie or Kobe and MJ, ARod. This might help Tiger. The Cat is out of the bag. He no longer has to live a lie. The preasure, other than media is off.
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GOLF!

December 2nd, 2009 at 12:58 pm
Maybe Tiger and his wife haven’t been getting along for a while. Forget who it is, why does this usually happen to average people. Nobody outside of their close circle knows what goes on in their family. . 95% of people who venture outside of the matrimonial bedroom do so because of an internal reason, so don’t cast stones at Tiger until the truth is known. And that part of the truth will never be known. Remember what our parents told us at a very young age “There are two sides to every story”.
December 2nd, 2009 at 1:09 pm
Tigers life is public! That is why we are reading about it! Do we have a right to know? NO we don’t. Should Tiger come clean. Yes, for damage control. Not for us but to try and reinstate himself, over time, as a role model.
It is none of our business, True, but humans are curious. Period.
December 2nd, 2009 at 1:12 pm
In Western culture, infidelity is treated in two polar ways: “shock, horror” and “nudge, wink”. The first response is in the national media and proposes the ‘right’ response, the ‘received’ view, if you will. The second response is usually in private, between individuals, which suggests salacious interest or perhaps a private admission of having had an affair or being unfaithful, so ‘relating’ to Tiger’s situation. What prevents the public media from taking a mature view (afterall in western culture, infidelity is extremely common in all walks of life – think of the presidents in USA and prime ministers in Europe who have had mistresses) in this case is that Tiger is an idol (ironically made that way by the Media) and is expected to have higher standards than the rest of us. The ‘Charles and Diana’ business evoked the same kind of response in the British. The story, if true, has an altogether familiar and all-too-human ring. It may have an adverse impact on Tiger’s reveue from sponsorship and his advertising ‘pull’. But for me, Tiger’s weaknesses are just as interesting as his strengths, because these are the things that make him reassuringly human, flesh and blood, not a machine. For him and his family these are difficult times. I hope the golfing public choose to treat him with understanding rather than petty disappointment at their fallen idol.

I think the Woods’ Family should stop throwing clubs at people!
This should have been a bigger story but we live in a world that loves to gossip about celebrity indiscressions!
Tiger in this video does the unthinkable and Elin chases him out of the house throwing clubs at him!
I wonder who has the better swing?
Maybe, Tiger asked if she wanted to Swing and she misunderstood and came out Swinging!

What Tiger done I have seen twice before in my lifetime. Tiger was out earlier in the day had his cruise control set. He tapped his brake to turn the cruise off but did not turn the button off on the cruise. Got back in his truck later in the night to go to a friends house, backed out of the driveway put the truck in drive turned the steering wheel and accidentaly pressed the resume button on the cruise. Truck takes off trying to get back to the speed he had set earlier in the day. That was when he hit a tree. Elin was very brave in getting Tiger out of the truck. Truck was still in gear so doors were locked. Best way in was from the back because the truck was still in drive. Tiger puts in a lot of hours to be the best in the world at golf no time for affairs. Stevie had all the girls in every town now he is married. The other times I saw what happened to Tiger. One woman used her cruise on the way to work tapped her brake to turn it off. Got back in her car after work and accidently tapped the resume button, car jumped forward and hit a parked car. About the same injuries as Tiger. Second woman was on fourlane road, tapped the brake to turn the cruise off. Got off the fourlane onto the offramp accidently tapped the resume button there was a sharp curve at the top of the ramp she jumped the guardrail and went down headon over the hill and crashed and died. Tiger should have had his seatbelt on and he would not have gotten hurt. Elin was very brave getting Tiger out. The truck could have caught fire and burned up. Very brave girl.

December 2nd, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Does being a great golfer, mean being a person of good character? In spite of my own flaws, I think I have a better character than I have golf talent. TW’s issue isn’t golf, it may be character. We are media doused with image, which often lacks in reality. We are believers, who tend to believe the image and forget about the reality. When image and reality are different, then a deception may be evident. Sponsors pay big money for performance, which begets image. When this image is damaged, then the money flow, could vanish. Young people may ask, if the hero can get away with violating traditional and established values, then why can’t I ? Do we want this indifference to values, in our inspirational heroes? limiting disclosure is legal, but it is harmful to image. Timely truth is always better. Had TW’s follow-up actions been truthful disclosures, then what ever damage to his image and future income may have been limited and soon forgotten. For Tiger’s families sake I hope there was more smoke than fire. QM
PS to Peter W. —- There are many great talents in professional golf. If TW was just another chopper, we would have never heard about him. You haven’t heard about me, have you? Tiger needed golf to be Tiger. Voids do not exist, as there are many potential winners. The game is better when we do not know who is going to win. Hero worship is for week minds, And the only real hero is Jesus, because among other things he told the powers to be, in different words, to go screw yourselves.
PS 2 — An attaboy for Bogey !

c’mon Tiger stop your complaining. You’ve made a fortune from publicity so don’t cry when you get some bad publicity. You’ve orchestrated everything to be perfect up until now and your perfect little word has come crashing down. Take it like man. I feel worst for the wife and kids not Tiger. They are the victims in this.
December 2nd, 2009 at 2:52 pm
Sounds like he did it. Sounds like he admitted it. I just wonder what the heck he was thinking !!! How could one of the most notable people think they could get away with it?
I wonder how the paparazzi missed this one*LOL*

This is just what it is, too bad this had to happen. Dan Wetzel wrote a commentary on Tiger’s response and I believe he is spot on. Tiger made a huge mistake and the way it sounds there may be more than one affair. The quantity is not the point, the real issue is how Tiger and other celebrities profit from an image they market. Then when that image is tarnished, the celebrity wants privacy. Unfortunately you cant have it both ways. Tiger wants his privacy and I do appreciate his desire to work this out without the public monitoring every move. While the fame and money is very attractive, I would not want his life because it comes with a cost. well i don’t know what to believe. I have learned that everything the press says is not always true, or it can be, but that is his business. Being a celebrity privacy is almost very rare, especially when you let too many people into your private life, you cannot always trust people to keep secrets. however he is still a great golfer and i still love him the same…Some times we make mistakes in life, and have to learn not to repeat them…
December 2nd, 2009 at 3:37 pm
The problem I am seeing with this is the fact that Tiger has provided us with an image of himself which is no less than perfect. The press has had a part in it, but it can be directly traced back to himself. He does great interviews, says the right things, for the most part does the right things, and most important his game shows, that if there is a swing that is close to perfect it is his indeed. I want all of you to think about this. If a player was number 237 on the money list, was found shoeless, injured, and in a car accident at 2:30 in the morning, where would it go from there? Maybe the 5th page of the sports section, maybe talked about on sports radio for 5 minutes and done. The player would more than likely be at the next tour stop, probably starting the proceedings for a nasty divorce, get some condolences, maybe some high fives, some scornful looks, tee off and by the 18th hole just be one of the guys again. Tiger on the other hand has distanced himself from other players so far that I believe he has almost become unapproachable. What a man does behind closed doors is in fact his own business. He is human. Humans make mistakes and humans apologize and correct mistakes. The news I believe this week is not the act committed, but who committed the act. I don’t believe its a career threatening mistake, however i do feel the sting of this will last a lot longer than it would for a normal man, due to the image he has projected.
December 2nd, 2009 at 3:45 pm
I have a question? When you are a a friends house playing golf on a $25,000 dollar golf simulater. The kind with 6 different courses, how do`es the putting come into play? Tiger can`t putt worth a crap.
December 2nd, 2009 at 3:54 pm
I think we all probably have forgotten what men of any age think about. I was impressed by Elin’s “grace” quoted by Tiger. Perhaps it’s time to let grace abound. We are a critical society, forgiveness is not a common creed. Judgment is the order of the day. How moral have your thoughts been lately?
December 2nd, 2009 at 4:07 pm
I am so disappointed. He responds as though he is only human, nothing special about him. The problem is, we thought he was special. So many people, young and old, looked up to him. Especially the young men. The world desperately needed a role model for how to be a good husband and father. Very sad
December 2nd, 2009 at 4:12 pm
It is time for America to get over the fixation with celebrities. We need to learn to appreciate a person for that quality that they are know for…singers for singing, actors for acting, athletes for their sport, etc. Tiger is a human being. He is not perfect in life. But he is a GREAT golfer. I will still enjoy his stokes and his strategy. Yes, I long for the time when celebrities were great rold models. Only a handful are now, and we must recognize that. Tiger has lost part of his following…those who thought he was a great family man as well as athlete. He will become just another Magic Johnston, Mel Gibson, falen hero, and will never be the same as a rold model….but he is still a GREAT golfer.
December 2nd, 2009 at 4:22 pm
Tiger is human and imperfect, as are we all. He has always been a class act. It would take a very small person to jump on him and crucify him for being imperfect. A crisis, such as this one will oftem make the person better and stronger. I expect that this will be the case with Tiger and also with Elin. I wish the news would leave it alone, that he would be treated with respect and that all those who pray would do so for them.
December 2nd, 2009 at 4:28 pm
I think that’s Tigers personal business not the general public’s, Let his sponsors or companies that he’s doing commercials for worry about how it could affect them.
December 2nd, 2009 at 4:59 pm
In life, as in golf, what’s important is how you react to your mistakes.
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:04 pm
I have always thought he is very arrogant on the golf course, so this low calss action does not surprise me.
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:43 pm
I do not know if Jack Nicklaus had a fling or two, but I can remember how “arrogant” he was and how he treated Arnold Palmer when he first came on tour. I am not excusing Tigers’ actions, but I do know he is not the only PGA Pro who has stepped out on his wife. So, I guess we have a large group of touring pros that are of low class.
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:04 pm
Another one bites the dust. It looked like Tiger was one of the few athletes that could be looked up to in all aspects. But I guess not. Why when these men seemingly have everything a man could want, do they feel the need for more. What makes one think it will turn any different for him then it did for any of the others? Michael Jordan, A-Rod, Roger Clemens, Kobe, Bill Clinton, JFK, and the list goes on. You cheat and you will eventually get caught. Why do it? What’s the point? I’m very disapointed in Tiger, because I looked up to him even though we are almost the same age. He was one of my idols. But now…he’s just another guy with no self control, or values.
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:06 pm
My personal business is between me, my maker and my personal family, just like Tiger Woods personal business is between him, his maker and his family. The public should stay out of Mr. Woods priviate and personal life and activities. Let him, his family and his own consience work through this situation.
Most of us today feel that there is far too much intrusion into our priviate and personal lifes by big government, why should we have any different rules when it applies to someones personal and priviate life, especially if it has no baring what so ever on us personally?
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:17 pm
Leave the man’s personal and priviate life to himself, his maker and his family. I hear people say all the time that there is already to much intrusion into our priviate lifes by the government, the news media, gossipers, nosy friends, neighbors, etc. Tiger Woods will have to work through his own personal situations, just as each of us has to do on a daily basis and either reap the rewards or suffer the consequences!.
Leave the man alone!
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:35 pm
We have become a national enquirer nation. In order to avoid dealing with our own issues we enjoy invoking ourselves into the lives of others. It will not change and we should learn to recognize how pathetic we are because of it. Tiger Woods is a man with the same issues of many men/women, its no ones business other than those directly involved. He received no special treatment from the cops he did the same things required of any citizen involved in an accident, lic./reg/insurance. No one is compelled to make a statement. People need to worry about their own problems and try to fix them instead of worrying about everyone else. Be your own role model and do not put the responsibility on Tiger Woods or any other athlete to be your childs role model.
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:51 pm
The only thing tiger is sorry for is he got caught!!! What a punk!!! I bet his dad is proud!!
December 2nd, 2009 at 5:57 pm
You are presumed innocent until proven guilty only in the eyes of the court, hence the blindfold. If you did something wrong, you are guilty whether it is proven or not.
This is for all the innocent until proven guilty idiots out there. You know who you are.
I couldn’t care less about Tiger’s personal life. I don’t get to see that on TV regularly or in any detail and that is fine by me. Just keep playing golf and the rest will work it self out.
December 2nd, 2009 at 6:10 pm
I think that what Tiger did wasn’t very smart, in that he had an affair, well several. That’s something that he and his wife are going to have to deal with. And being a huge super star like he is and he never thought that he would never get caught, that’s a bit nieve.
But Tiger also did something smart, he told the truth after it was out. This cuts the legs off the vampires a bit since now there’s no story. I’m sure that they’ll flog it for all it’s worth and keep Tiger under tight survielance for the nest of his life, but for most now that the cat is out of the bag and he’s admitted to it so what.
I think that he will loose some credibilty for a while but look at what happened to Coby Bryant and the whole affair thing. He got caught, lied about it, then admitted to it and now everything is ok. I think that something similar will happen with Tiger.
December 2nd, 2009 at 6:26 pm
Shame on Tiger. He even scolded us for believing the tabloids. Then decides to come clean, sort of.
December 2nd, 2009 at 6:43 pm
I personally echo many of the comments already posted. Tiger has admitted his fault with the accident and his transgressions. He did not receive any preferential treatment from the FHP for the accident. Be thankful that he was not more seriously injured and that no one else was involved in the accident.
The general public is interested in his private life because WE have put him (and other athletes) on a pedestal. He is not a perfect man (haven’t met one yet), but he is a bigger man for admitting his guilt. Let him and Elin move on from this incident. Tiger has been great for the game of golf as a player and what his foundation does to raise the interest in the game among our young people is just as good for the sustainability of the game. This incident will not change my opinion of him as a member of society. Other celebrities have committed more worse “crimes against humanity” than having an affair.
December 2nd, 2009 at 6:59 pm
I think that this whole business is between his wife and him ,he probably was cheating(although with elin being such a hottie ,why),that waitress in New York or wherever is nothing more than a gold digger as far as I am concerned and the little amt known about her.there will be more info (the truth) in coming days,so I wouldnt really go off half cocked about such an a hole tiger or his wife is being (someone is).if he is cheating ,shame but he is only a man with urges(not that that is right),if his wife put out more often this might not have happened Mike
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:00 pm
At first, surprised, but after thinking about his life and the pressure cooker the man is in, I can understand the why. My image of him has forever changed.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:03 pm
I did a lot of ‘yelling’ on Twitter about the negativity.
So many people have revealed their own weaknesses as to how to express themselves over this. Who is perfect enough to condemn Tiger when we see so much of this happening in our own neighborhoods.
Tiger and his family are facing a huge test. But, so are we facing a test. Are we dealing with our own reactions in an honest way? Especially, how such things go on in today’s world?
We, as a collective society, have to look in the mirror. Why have we allowed a society to grow where it is so easy for failings to take place?
Tiger has accepted responsibility for his actions. Does this society accept responsibility for the continual growth of “evils” within?
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:43 pm
Now that he has admitted to having an affair,I can pull for Phil wholeheartedly! It disgusts me to hear the rich and famous apologize and plead for forgiveness for having an affair over a period of months or years.
December 2nd, 2009 at 7:50 pm
It’s a sad day for Tiger and his family and for the world of golf. He has had such an upstanding character and earned the respect of countries all over the world. It’s tough being at the top and living a model life. But by his own admission he stated that he is human and had “blown it”. What public figure hasn’t had done some of the same? At least he hasn’t killed somebody and waited 12 hrs to report it. He’s paid his fine, and the FHP has closed the case. Doesn’t he deserve some privacy to work out his familial problems? The facts are NOT all in. The raunchy tabloids are an unreliable source of information. At this point I’ll hang with Tiger who has earned the respect of millions. I think Shakespeare had it right, “What great ones do the less will prattle of.”

December 2nd, 2009 at 9:19 pm
It’s a shame because I always thought of Tiger as a straight-arrow kind of guy. If the worst he did was curse on the course, that’s not a huge deal to me, though I see why it might upset people. Now, he’s basically risked destroying his family over some affair(s). Adultery is bad enough, but the lying really puts a person’s character in a different light.
I don’t really think he owes me an explanation or apology. But he definitely owes it to the people in his life that love and trust him. Hopefully he’ll hold his family together and not repeat these mistakes again.
I’ll still be a fan, but unfortunately I think my image of him has changed forever.
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:21 pm
When you are rich and famous there will be lots of temptation…. If you can’t resist it you’ll be falling into the trap. Hopefully, Tiger can set his priority right and move on…let’s extend our helping hands to him and his family, not to add on pressure to him…;)))
December 2nd, 2009 at 9:25 pm
Like most avid golfers I admire Tiger for his prowess on the golf course, but when it comes to his personal life I’m naturally disappointed to hear of his infidelity. I can understand the pressures he feels being gone from home so often & I’m sure being pursued by many beautiful young women everywhere he goes. But this is one area where his integrity has failed miserably! Unfortunately his sins have been revealed & now he needs to do some real soul searching & hopefully make the necessary changes in his life to save his marriage & keep his beautiful family intact! I pray you do the right thing Tiger! Still a fan….San Diego Phil
December 2nd, 2009 at 11:11 pm
To err is human — to be be tiger, divine — basically we are all human and no one is perfect!!! Leave the poor guy alone!! Can you imagine the pressure of his lifestyle!!!
December 3rd, 2009 at 12:22 am
So sad, such an influencial man who has violated his own value system, and truly hurt himself and his family. I hope they can recover from this and that he has been affected enough to change his ways. Not sure what brought out the sudden exposure but I am sure we’ll hear more in the coming days.
December 3rd, 2009 at 1:11 am
This is an incredibly unfortunate situation for golf fans and fans of Tiger Woods. Fans of all ages have admired him for his will to win and to watch him dominate a sport for so long. He was the “Superman” of the golfing world. His “transgressions” bring to light that our modern era “hero” is a man who bleeds like we bleed, aches like we ache and fails like we fail. In short, Tiger is human – one who is susceptible to temptation and one who makes some mind-blowing mistakes. I hope he now takes himself off of the pedestal that he has sat on for so long. join the rest of us and ask us – his fans – for forgiveness. Do not hide behind a website or public statement read by a lawyer. Talk to us Tiger, we are here to support you!
December 3rd, 2009 at 3:21 am
Tiger has been a childish about critisim, he’s no Jack in terms intregity. I never saw Tiger as an idol but he deserves respect as the greatest golfer of all time., who is driven and aloof but not a people person in my eyes (ok my personal experience)
I admire his golfing skills and would love nothing more than spend time watching him swing and learn from the great man,
People I admire are Jack and Gary Player and Ernie Els, not as golfers but their human side.
In terms of the press I dont believe anything they say or report about Tiger
Tiger is human, made mistakes just like the rest of us, but now he can move on. Give him a break.
December 3rd, 2009 at 6:58 am
I think this whole thing needs to be forgotten by the general public. If someone that lives down the street has the same accident under the same circumstances would you care? Would anyone but their family care? The answer is no!!! Just because someone is in the public eye, doesn’t make it okay for us to investigate their private lives. Leave him alone, and let him work it out with his family. The man is arguably the greatest that ever played the game of golf, but he is human and goes through the same temptations we all do.
Those who are without sin cast the first stone!!!
December 3rd, 2009 at 7:04 am
Well said HankTN, could not have done better. There are a lot of hypocrites in this wonderful USA. They need to get a life.
December 3rd, 2009 at 8:02 am
We british aren’t any better, we tend to want to bring down our heros at the first Opportunity; shame. Nick Faldo was hounded by the press and made to look like a criminal, in reality he’s a very nice bloke and has done wonders for junior golf.
December 3rd, 2009 at 8:56 am
Now that we know more, mercy, grace and reconciliation come to mind. I only wish the best for Tiger and his family. (interesting that we have heard no culpability on the part of the women involved–who didn’t know he was married with children?). I think we use the term “hero” very loosely when instead we are safer to admire all atheletes for their abilities. A hero to me is someone who willingly puts themselves in harm’s way for someone else ie soldiers, police, etc.. I will always be a Tiger fan because of what he has brought to golf. Who knows, maybe this will result in tremendous blessing later.
December 3rd, 2009 at 9:29 am
I think people in general are very quick to look at and polarize the discretions of other people rather than look at and develop strong opinions and stands regarding things that truly affect our communities and country. For example, home many significant things that will have long term affects on the American community have occurred since this Tiger’s actually human so lets punish him for it crap started that has not received the media attention it deserves. I am appalled that any man would act in this way, but I understand that we all have short comings and fall short of God’s Glory.I’m not looking at the splinter in Tigers eye while over looking the pencil sized one in my own eye. The media made Tiger is the biggest joke I have heard so far. The media jump on Tigers’ bandwagon and got paid. The nerve that a man owns the media for his fame. Disgusting rhetoric, ad infinitum.
December 3rd, 2009 at 10:03 am
It’s none of my business.
December 3rd, 2009 at 10:42 am
let tiger deal with his own personal life the way he wants, if it is not illegal it is no one elses business, agree or not with him and his lifestyle choices, he has to look himself in the mirror and live with own actions just like the rest of us do.
December 3rd, 2009 at 10:55 am
Tiger in fact did make himself a public figure and deserves all the crud that can be dished out. Many held him is great stead and as a result he received tons of $$$ from his sponcers. This is much more than a personal matter. He has the moral fiber of a leach. His apology sounded ok to some but of course it was after he first denied everything, and he apologized with a “but” it’s the media’s fault. No it’s not. He was the one f#@%ing around while his wife was pg. The only thing he is sorry for is that he got caught.
December 3rd, 2009 at 11:38 am
Tiger Is Human, andhee is an ungaurded moment for everyone, even Jesus was tempted, He is not Jesus. He is doing te best thing, say little or nothing to the Media. If the affair is true he should talk to his family and sponsors about it. And say to the fans the matter has been resolved
His Game is Superb and he shoul be allowed to focus on that. I strongly believe that we focus on the unimportant things. HIS PERSONAL LIFE IS BETWEEN HIM AND HIS GOD. AMEN
December 3rd, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Mike
When you have been as successful as Tiger, we tend to forget you are human after all. He is a man like any other. He has asked for forgiveness and is full of remorse. We must give him a chance to rebuild his family life, and resume his career.
The problem is now between him and his wife.
Khotso
December 3rd, 2009 at 3:37 pm
Learning to say NO is very difficult….
Let him rest and his days at home I am sure are difficult enough as money may not buy him resolution!
December 3rd, 2009 at 10:13 pm
Mike,
I agree with Khotso when you are that successful all kinds of temptations will cross your life. Let us give the guy the chance he deserves and I believe he will be extra carefull next time he consider making the shot for the 19th hole

I hope you’re right. I would think he is kicking himself right now
December 3rd, 2009 at 2:56 pm
What Tiger is doing in is daylife is not of my besenis and I wish him good luck in the future for is family. I know that Tiger is a very good golfer and he is star in golf.
Real.
December 3rd, 2009 at 4:06 pm
he’s human.
December 3rd, 2009 at 5:07 pm
MIKE IT BOILS DOWN TO ONE THING. HE IS HUMAN AND DOESN’T DESERVE ALL THE CRAP ABOUT WHAT THEY THINK HAPPEND. ONLY TIGER KNOWS WHAT REALLY HAPPENED. HERE IS MY 2 CENTS. HE WAS OUT DOING WHATEVER, CAME HOME TO FIND HIS WIFE WASN’T REALLY HAPPY WITH HIS ACTIONS. THIS POED TIGER AND HE LEFT. THAT’S WHERE THE FUN BEGAN. HIT A FIRE HYDRENT AND THEN A TREE. THE WIFE CAME OUT WITH A CLUB AND BROKE THE REAR WINDOW FOR WHATEVER REASON. HE WAS IN THE CAR AND THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED. YOU FIGURE IT OUT.
HE SCREWED UP AND THE QUICKER HE OWNS UP TO IT THE SOONER HE CAN GET BACK TO HIS LIFE. THE ONE THING HE DID THAT SHOWS NO CARACTER ON HIS PART, WAS TO NOT APPEAR FOR HIS TOURNAMENT. HE LET A LOT OF PEOPLE DOWN. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO BITE THE BULLET AND FESS UP. HE WILL BE FORGIVEN IN TIME. IS THIS THE WAY A BILLIONARE SHOULD ACT. IF IT WAS ME I WOULD TELL THE MEDIA TO BITE ME. BUT THAT’S JUST ME..
SINCERELY, WAYNE RUSSELL.
PS I LIKE YOUR WEBPAGE

What we should learn? Humans are always humans, no matter the accolades. Forget about Tiger, and focus on hero worshiping humans. I only know
one true hero, who was and is Jesus Christ. All the rest are propped up promotions or self promoted. None will match the Lord. When we have false
heroes, we will eventually be disappointed. And when your expectations about false heroes implode, don’t your feel stupid? You should. For those who
are not believers, show me your hero. The media co-authored the TW hype, and won’t change anything. They write or speak for the money, and so when
their false hero fails, they will bring us another one. Yesterday I heard one exceptional comment about this affair. One commentator, said that his father
once told him, “if and when other people make you out to be a god of some sort, that is OK, but when you believe it, the trouble starts. What did TW
believe? People in need of heroes other than the Lord, should pay attention to this statement by Benjamin Disraeli, ” confidence is suspicion asleep”!
PS – I am a golfer, and after 56 years of it, I am still trying to hit two good shots in a row, well maybe three in a row. HC 13.6
December 4th, 2009 at 10:49 am
First, the crash. As a LEO, I have the natural curiosity to know the who, what, when, where and why in any situation. Having done thousands of crashes over the years, experience tells me that inattention and intoxication are the root causes in MOST crashes. And yes, Tiger deserved a Inattentive / Careless Driving citation.
On to his personal life….well that is between the main players in the incident. My trainers have said “as an law enforcement officer, you live in a glass house and are subject to an intense amount of scrutiny, so live your life as if everyone can see your every thought and action”. As someone who is in a position to influence people young and old, Tiger does live in that glass house and does have to hold himself to a higher standard.
Whatever the outcome may be, Tiger has a very valuable lesson to learn and lets hope he learns from it.
Mike B.
P.S. The one thing I do know is if his dad were around, Tiger would have harder time going to the bathroom with a boot in his arse!
December 4th, 2009 at 12:48 pm
I have no problem with it.
I say we just chanc his name from “Tiger” to “Cheetah”
December 4th, 2009 at 3:54 pm
Very sad if the accusations are true.Tiger is a sporting phenomenon and icon to many and although he may want to keep things private it will be very difficult. The media furore is to be expected but the people after a story should leave the Wood’s family alone to sort out their problems. As for Tiger, you would have thought he had more sense than to think he could get away with his “transgressions”.His status has been badly dented.
December 4th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
If any of the allegations is true, then, Tiger is a superstar hypocrite. And he has let a lot of kids around the world down. What he does in future to be a better person is up to him. The sad thing for golf is that, even if Tiger can surpass the 18 majors achieved by the Great Jack Nicklaus, tiger can never be as great because he “cheated”. My advice to Tiger is – Don’t even attempt the majors! You have to come completely CLEAN first. For someone who manages his “image” so tightly, he “looks” so naked.
December 5th, 2009 at 9:23 am
Now we know what Nike’s slogan really means – “Just do it”!
December 6th, 2009 at 8:43 am
Tiger is not “innocent until proven guilty”. He’s flat-out guilty. And what’s worse, it appears that he is a filanderer of extraordinary dimensions. We know he has a woman on the West Coast and one on the East Coast. Does it not stand to reason that he has women elsewhere, too? It’s a sad testament to the world’s greatest golfer that he can’t remain faithful to the woman he married but instead must seek out waitresses and nightclub hostesses for sex. We are witnessing an immense fall from grace. The Tiger Woods Foundation may suffer financially as a result. And that’s even sadder. But, all Tiger has to do is wait out the storm. The golf media will forgive him first; the general news media will eventually forget it ever happened. The only fly in the ointment would be Elin deciding to divorce him. She will have to weigh very carefully his loving offer of $65 million dollars to remain in the marriage, however. How thoughtful of him to bribe his wife. It does truly show that he cares, doesn’t it?
December 6th, 2009 at 9:07 am
Hey Chris!
Thanks for stopping by. I have tried to hold my “judgement” of Tiger, but the more that is coming out, it doesn’t look good for him. A lot of people are saying it’s not our business, and I can understand that, but when he has made HUNDREDS of MILLIONS off his image, it becomes a public issue.
I feel the baddest for Elin and his children. At this point, I could care less about Tiger Woods. I have lost most of the respect I use to have for him, so that’s not even an issue for me.
If he can’t keep it “in his pants’ he gets what he deserves. I only hope Elin gives a serious thought to leaving and staring a life without him. She does not deserve this, and I hope she gets the 300 million or so for this. Maybe then, Tiger will have learned his lesson, but just a little to late.
This is all still amazing to me, but does not surprise me at all.
Mike
December 6th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
who cares about his personal life. none of us are angels. all I care about is his golf.
December 6th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
That is definitely valid obversvations
December 6th, 2009 at 5:32 pm
Tiger should be shot and shamed! Honestly he is just a normal player – nothing great about his golf – there are so many wonderful golfers. So it’s a mistake to use tiger wood to sell products.
Cheers!
Chan
December 6th, 2009 at 5:46 pm
Hi Mike,
If I may digress a bit, if you will allow me to think it that way, discussion purposes how are you going to compared this Tiger issue with
former President BC?
Thanks,

Chan says..”he is just a normal player – nothing
great about his golf ”
Chan, I’ll take a case of whatever you are smoking.
December 7th, 2009 at 2:09 pm
Great question.
My thoughts on the untamed one is not too dissimilar to those ones I had about Mike Tyson and other ‘transgressors’. That is who the hell do they think they are?
As for posterity… well Tyson was a great boxer who was never the same. Woods was a brilliant golfer who would win more majors unmarried than he would married.

All these women appearing from nowhere, if i had slept with Halle Berry, there is no way i’d be able to keep it to myself.

I have notice that no other pro sports figures have spoke out about Tiger. Do you think that his affairs are so common in pro sports that no one whats to open that can of worms.he is still the best golfer in history period
December 7th, 2009 at 6:03 pm
Wayne,
You hit it right on the head! I think many, if not at least 50% of them are doing the same thing. They are sitting in silence hoping they weren’t as stupid as Tiger Woods was. It’s sad, but when you’re a rich, somewhat famous athlete, women always going to be readily available. They know what they are getting into, so it’s not too impressive about the girls either.

C,mon! You media people let him live with his life. Remember, Tiger Woods is still a legend. A scandal cannot over shadow his achievements in golf.

The biggest potential victims in this sad state of affairs are the children. Hopefully, Tiger will show sincere remorseful behavior through a public speech as to what really happened! Hopefully, Elin will be able to reach deep in her heart and forgive him for his unfaithful transgressions. Any talk or action on a monetary settlement should not be made! All the self-rightous contributors to this blog, and the too eager media needs to turn off their mikes and cameras and let the matter fade away! Hopefully, this will include your blog. Advertisers, sponsors, etc., will make their decisions based on public perceptions and the economic consequences.

Dear Mike
It is human weakness… we tend to be judgemental. Reportedly Tiger has apologized. I would like to take it as a sincere apology and move on. Details should be handled by his family whom I believe know Tiger best. We know him only as a golfer… digging beyond this woud make us gossipers. Gossip is never helpful no matter how juicy.
Okay, every culture world-over will have it take on this one. In Africa when a guy says he is sorry society forgives him. After all what else would Tiger do? Golf society should forgive him and move on. It is not the end of golf, is it?
Cheers Mike!!!!

Hi Mike,
If your question is about the recent reports on Tiger, then I think his letter of apology really captures my view point, which is that as he is ordinary flesh as all of us, we should understand that he can err. I believe he has learned his lesson. I’m looking forward to reading more about him plying his golfing talents rather than controversial private reporting. After he’s apologised, he’s got my 100% backing.
Thanks
Vusi

Dear Pro,
Ask any woman and they hate him. Ask the men and they say he is stupid to be caught.

Smart writer and person. My same sentiments. If every person could read this I think they would take time enjoying self, family, friends and new aquaintances and not all this gossip, money making crap. Never can read any good news, because too many just want to see blood and guts or savor on bad shit

I am somewhat disappointed by Tiger’s transgressions. I fact, I can’t understand why a guy with a truly beautiful wife like Tiger’s would ever need some on the side. But really it’s none of my business and I don’t really care about it. Can just stop talking about it now? Please?

Tiger the celebrity was created by the media. Tiger the person needs time to heal from his
self-inflicted wounds and deserves the respect of his wishes for the time and privacy to do it.
Time itself is a great healer and is needed to learn from life’s cruelest teacher: experience.

My comment on the whole stuation is that Tiger could (and probably will) become a one man wrecking crew for the entire PGA tour. It is very sad that the PGA tour has let this situation get out of hand; meaning that without Tiger Woods the PGA tour is going to go through a huge reality check. The main reason that the purses have become so outta this world in excessive prize money is because of TIger Woods. The only reason the PGA tour draws gigantic crowds is because of Tiger. The only reason the PGA tour was drawing the phenomenal sponsors was because of TIger. Everyone else, (Other tour players, the PGA itself, the media frenzied out of control, the sponsors, the USGA, the Golf Channel, etc.) has just been there to enjoy the ride, and profited hugely at Tiger’s expense. In my opinion this is why we will soon see a huge downturn in fan support and sponsorship support in the huge money events that lead up to the US open and events that follow. It is sad that the PGA tour allowed all of its eggs (so to speak) to be put into one basket, they did not protect the tour or its players from this type of situation and now that it has occured, there were no protective measures in place to stop the deterioration of the tour. The following year will tell the story, but lets just say if I had to rely on the PGA tour to jpay my bills next year, I’d be high tailing into some other business until this whole thing settles down. Everyone is keying on Tiger and his infidelity, that is the least of the problems that we as dedicated PGA tour fans have to worry about. We just want the game to go on and the best man to come out on top. There are a few possible saving grace scenarios to this commentary……….more to follow.

Tiger is only human, let the man live his life and be. I hope he can bounce back from this.

Nice blog and Tiger is without doubt the greatest ever golfer so because of this fact i think he can do what he wants. He is the Pele of golf and thanks to the guy we have more people interested in golf. So if he wants too sleep with all sorts of women in the world then i don’t see what’s the problem. LH
