I don't think Tiger really cares to be the longest driver on tour. He cares about winning tournaments. If he wanted to, he could easily be the longest hitter on tour. I don't think he's lost any flexibility at all.

Very good point mike, I know his driving distance has gone down in the last few months, but his birdie eagle and fairways hit have all gone up because of this. not to mention tiger has won 4 out of his last 5 starts and and finished second in the other.....

You couldn't be farther from the truth! Tiger is putting more effort into hitting fairways than hitting longer drives. He has proven that when he wants to kill one he can do it better than anyone on tour.

There have been par 5's on tour where he was the ONLY player to reach the green in two!

Tiger knows he needs to hit fairways, and when he does he can't be beat! I appreciate your input, but when making assessments, you need to look at the whole picture with any golfer.

I can bet you that his fairways hit has gone way up the last part of the season. Hitting it long and in the fairway is a brutal advantage for any golfer

Its interesting that Tiger Woods has never been fitter (in particular larger) and it does not relate to longer driving distance.
Tigers total driving distance against the rest of the players is suffering even though he is bigger and stronger.
His current rank in distance is 11th and that is the lowest he has been in eleven years on Tour.
If i was an expert i would be suggesting he is on the verge of lost flexibility with his larger body frame. (Gee he looks good though)

There's no one resource for short workouts unfortunately! My golf fitness dvds can be done in 40-50 minutes, and they incorporate both stretching and strength training.

I think this is a great article but what if I don't have that much time to spend on working out? What kind of exercises would help the average Joe?
