When it’s time to put the clubs away for the winter, it’s time to re-evaluate your season and see where you can make improvements duing the off season. This is your opportunity to start your next golf season right out of the gate, with lower scores and longer drives. You won’t have to “work your way” into the season, you’ll be like a primed athlete ready to bust loose!

Golf Swing Training

Did you have some flaws in your golf swing that resulted in consistent mishits? If so, diagnose the root cause and apply golf swing training drills to correct it. You can do many of these drills right in your home, garage or even your office with a golf club and a mirror

Repetitive drill training for your golf swing will encourage your muscles to produce the correct technique, so when you get out on the range, you can actually feel the right way to swing a golf club.

Off Season Strength Training Program

Like in any other sport, athletes will spend their off season strengthening the specific muscles used in the mechanics of their sport…why wouldn’t you, if you want to improve your golf swing? I’m not talking about grueling gym workouts that break your body and take 2 hours to complete. I’m talking about simple golf strength exercises specfic to your swing you can do in your home in just a few minutes each day…and their fun to do

Off Season Golf Stretching Program

This is a BIGGY! As golfers get older, they lose a tremendous amount of golf specific flexibility, which results in a massive reduction in driving distance and even golf swing consistency. The ONLY way to stop this decline and regain the distance you’ve lost is a golf swing specfic stretching program. You will be absolutely amazed at the freedom you’ll get in your golf swing if you just do a few simple stretches each day. By this time next spring, you’ll be crushing the ball long and straight.

Your Off Season Golf Swing Training Program Is A Must

I hope you’ve read this little blog post, and realize the importance of off season golf training if you want to improve your golf swing power and consistency.

Here’s a shameless plug

My Power Golf Training Ebook is filled with simple golf swing exercises, stretches and program that are perfect for an off season program. Click on the big image below to read more about it.

Along with my power golf training products, the training aids I review and endorse have been tried by me personally, AND I use them in my own power training routines.

I have found a fantastic power golf swing weight trainer that is the most portable, user-friendly training aid for power I’ve ever seen.

Take a look at the picture below. I’m swinging my driver with this cool little weighted trainer near the end. See it? It’s blue.

You want more power in your golf swing? Want an easy exercise(s) to quickly see improvement in distance? It’s all in the wrists! Yes…they say over 70%+ of your speed comes from the hinging and unhinging of your wrists.

The only problem with that is many golfers, especially older ones have both weak and inflexible wrist joints, and they cannot get or maintain their wrist cock (lag) during the downswing. This is a HUGE power loss for golfers with these limitations.

I’ll bet when you hear power and distance, you wouldn’t think wrists would you? Just picture hitting a golf ball, baseball, or throwing anything without a wrist cock with lag before release. It would be a powerless movement with no speed.

There’s a simple exercise I do for wrist strength, and I use my weighted golf club to speed up the strength improvement, but if you don’t have one, you can use an 8 iron or even your 3 iron. The longer the club the more the resistance on your wrist and forearm.

The exercise is so easy and simple you can do it anywhere. In your living room. At your office. Even when you travel (with your clubs that is).

I call it Golf Wrist Cocks. (There are several other very effective wrist exercises that I may divulge later ):

Grab a single club as stated above. Start with say a pitching wedge and work your way up to a 3 iron.

Your arm hangs at your side. Grab club and let head rest on the ground at your side.

Cock your wrist upward to raise the clubhead off the ground as high as it can go while leaving arm at side.

Slowly lower to ground uncocking your wrist.

Repeat this 15 times and switch hands.

You will feel a burn in your forearms.

Do this 2-3 times a week and you’ll be plowing through the ball at impact!

You would be amazed how simple golf exercises can make a huge difference in your driving distance, power and even consistency. I’ve put together a very unique golf exercise program that is ONLY one exercise per day for 30 days. These simple in-home golf exercises take ONLY 3 minutes a day, and can literally transform your golf swing and eliminate all aches and pains.

The above picture is an exercise right out of this revolutionary golf exercise program.

If you’re looking for a “quick” way to add yards to all your clubs? Stupid question…I know. EVERY golfer wants to hit it longer. I am a huge advocate for both golf exercises and stretches for long-term golf success, one of the fastest ways to increase your driving distance is to swing a golf exercise weighted club.

You can’t get any more golf-specific than that! You are doing the EXACT same motion (the golf swing) but with added resistance. You are effectively improving the strength AND flexibility in your golf swing muscles with this club. As a golfer, you love to swing a club and hit balls right? Well…swinging this golf exercise club is the equivalent of hitting dozens and dozens of balls in a matter of a few minutes!

In the picture to the right, I’m swinging it just like I said. You are making a normal swing, just not at full swing (EVER).

I swing mine EVERY DAY!

You heard that right. Along with my daily golf exercise routines, and stretching and cardio, I pull out my weighted golf club and swing it 20-30 times in succession in front of a mirror to make sure my technique is solid. I start out with half swings at half speed, and slowly build up to full swing at no more than 75% of my full speed.

You NEVER want to swing it at full speed! If you do…you are risking injury. Just picture the professional baseball player swinging the “heavy” bat when he’s on deck. Do you ever see them swing at full speed? NEVER! They know that it is not necessary to get the benefit of swinging it.

When I do my golf swings, I do them back and forth without stopping. So in 60 seconds I can get over 50 swings in. How many balls can you hit on the range in 60 seconds? I will take a 2 minute rest and repeat this twice more. When I’m done…I feel all my golf muscles big time!

If you don’t have a weighted club, you can get one on my site. You don’t have to get it there… as you can go online, or go to your local golf shop. Either way…I strongly encourage you get one and start swinging it right away!

What can I say about Tiger Woods ? Do I have to keep talking about Tiger’s dominance on tour, and why he is blowing away the other players (8 strokes in the Buick Open)? If golfers aren’t getting it…it’s because he puts the WORK in. Yes… that’s right! The dreaded word WORK.

What work is it?

We all know about his physical training in regards to golf exercises, stretching and dynamic training training with medicine balls, dumbbells and cables (tubing). So why aren’t golfers waking up? Why don’t they realize their body’s are what’s keeping them from a better game, not their equipment or more lessons.

We can’t ignore his mental strength either. Working with his green beret dad early on gave him the focus that no other golfer can match… period!

The combination of physical training for golf and mental training is what every golfer should focus on. If you’ve been playing for several years, you know how to swing a club. Do you really think more lessons is going to help? It’s time to wake up and take a look in the mirror at what’s keeping you from reaching your potential.

Start your golf fitness program right now while the motivation is HOT!

This is going to be YOUR YEAR!

Do you find yourself setting up New Year’s Resolutions for getting into shape every year? There’s a reason why. If you haven’t already guessed… it’s because you’ve been unsuccessful at keeping your weight off during the year .

Why not stop the madness and make this year the one and final year you actually achieve your golf and fitness goals? It’s not as hard as you think, but it does take a consistent effort to see results. There is no magic bullet.

New, Revolutionary 3 Minute Golf Fitness Program

I’ve put together a golf stretching and exercise program that will blow your mind! It’s ONLY 3 minutes a day for 30 days. If you can’t commit to 3 minutes a day, then you’ve got to re-evaluate your life goals. You’ll be declining fast unless you make some dramatic changes (choices).

You will not even break a sweat with this program, and yet the results will amaze you. These are brand new, never seen before exercises and stretches I designed. They are specifically for golfers. You only need a pair of dumbbells and an exercise ball… that’s it!

No More Excuses!

I have heard all the reasons (excuses) people use to not stick with their exercise or weight loss program. Some of them just amaze me. If you were to get out of your own body and listen to them you’d be floored!

Now Get To It! No Delay! This is your day to shine .

Did you know you can do easy at home exercises that will dramatically improve your golf swing power, distance, consistency and overall enjoyment of the game? If you’ve been a follower of my articles and this new blog, you’ll know that every exercise I use in all my golf exercise dvds, manual, online membership and ebooks are simple exercises to be done at home, not in a gym.

Exercises With Dumbbells

Dumbbells are one the best pieces of equipment to use in your home to improve your golf swing power and distance. The main reason is the freedom of motion similar to your golf swing. Go to a gym and plop down on a “machine” and your are controlled by the maching in a “non” golf swing movement. Minimal benefit to your golf swing .

Just take a look at this simple golf dumbbell exercise. Very golf specific and will quickly improve your driving distance and power. Replicating as many movements as you can that are similar to your golf swing will give you the best and quickest results every time!

Exercises With Tubing

I really have a lot of fun with tubing exercises. I’m always coming up with new ones to apply to my training and to my clients and customers . Tubing is fantastic because you can do so much with it. You can literally make golf swings with it like the picture you see here. I do this one all the time and it’s in my golf exercise manual as well as in my golf fitness dvds.

It is very inexpensive, portable and can be taken with you when you travel. I can get just as good of workout with this tubing than any of the expensive machines in the club.

Exercises With Stability Ball

Here’s another fun piece of exercise equipment I use in my golf exercise program on a daily basis. The stability ball is amazing for challenging your core stabilization and balance which are critical factors in your golf swing.

I can do dozens of golf-specific exercises targeting my core which will add many yards to all your drives. And if you watch out…you might get that “six-pack” back .

Look at this simple exercise I’m doing on the ball. It is one of the best exercises if you have a bad lower back. Do this a few times and kiss your back problems good-bye!

Exercises With Weighted Medicine Ball

The weighted medicine ball is a very effective training piece for golfers who have exercised regularly. The weight can very between 2 pounds and go as high as 20. This is another core builder for longer drives.

Doing rotational exercises with the med ball will improve both your core rotational flexibility AND strengthen enabling you to make a HUGE turn loaded with power.

The above exercises are just a few examples of the golf specifics exercises at home you can do.
